Serlachius Museum Gustaf: dramatised history
We will arrive at the 1930's-built magnificent, former head office, nowadays housing Serlachius Museum Gustaf, offering an abundance of experiences. We will make a splendid time warp and go straight back to the year 1951, breathing the hierarchical atmosphere of the head office. A stern recruiter of the forest combine gives us her personal welcome and tests, whether we are suited for a position in the company!

We will also have an opportunity to make paper ourselves and get acquainted with the Paper Devil, G. A. Serlachius, a pioneer of the Finnish paper industry. His life and business affairs are portrayed in the eloquent exhibition consisting of dramatised scenes from the life of the industrialist.

Serlachius Museum Gösta: art, architecture and pure tastes
We proceed to mill owner Gösta Serlachius' former residential manor and its new pavilion. Finnish top chefs are responsible for the menu of restaurant Gösta. A two-course menu changing according to season will be served at the table.

We will be acquainted with the Finnish classics of art of painting. Many artist of the Golden Age of art in Finland were inspired by the Finnish nature.
We have the opportunity to take a closer look at the newbuilding of the art museum, a huge pavilion that is an interesting and awarded example of a wood construction.

A trip to a sylvan manor to eat and sleep
We travel from the mill owner’s manor to sylvan manor of Rapukartano (translated: crayfish manor) located in the middle the forest, either by water straight from Gösta’s jetty in a church boat, or motorized by a winding village road. At Rapukartano you enjoy the evening meal, also a Crayfish party can be organized year-round. The silence of the wilderness guarantees a good night’s sleep in high-quality accommodation.
