Antero Toikka: sculptures in the pavilion and in the manor garden
Sculptor Antero Toikka’s Vision 2015 brings to the garden and pavilion of Art Museum Gösta large steel sculptures that envision the museum as a cradle and home of art. Toikka, who has worked throughout his whole career in landscape, has around 20 public works in Finland, of which the most famous is the Growth Passage monument that stands on the motorway between Helsinki and Lahti.
The sculptures of Toikka, who has a Mänttä background, are meeting places of art, landscape and architecture. They crystallise a vision of sculpting at the focal point of past, present and future.
